Shopify Developer

Virid is looking for a full-time Shopify Developer to join our team at our headquarters in Reston, VA. In this role you will be developing and improving high-visibility eCommerce storefronts on Shopify. The developer will be part of cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life-cycle, from conception to deployment. The candidate should have training and experience with front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, as well as a solid understanding of web development best practices and the Shopify ecosystem. The candidate should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

NOTE: MUST be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder

Responsibilities and duties include:

• Creatively solve complex problems for our clients and their customers

• Develop world-class front-end experiences on the Shopify platform

• Develop custom extensions to be released as third-party add-ons

• Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Contribute to internal initiatives such as improving our development processes

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in building Shopify eCommerce storefronts

• Very comfortable with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3

• Comfortable with AJAX and JQuery

• Advanced HTML and CSS skills

• Experience with GIT version control

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with team members and clients

• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
